Remarkable and unique experiences are the means by which The Venetian Resort’s ongoing creative campaign, Want the World, promises guests that they can “have it all.”  Which is all well and good: I mean, who doesn’t want to have it all, especially when vacationing at a luxury resort?  But the Venetian isn’t just paying lip service to the profligate notion of meta-possession.  Rather, the resort has put its money where our mouths are (if you’ll pardon the revamped metaphor) and is once again presenting Haute Cuisine – an annual showcase of food and wine, held in conjunction with l’Association des Maîtres Cuisiniers de France, each fall.

According to Philippa Fryman (VP, Food and Beverage – The Venetian Resort), “Every year, the Master Chefs of France raise the bar of excellence, and this year we are excited to taste their creations from around the world.”

Among the most coveted titles to which a chef can aspire, the organization to which these Maîtres Cuisiniers de France (or Master Chefs of France) belong exists “to preserve and spread the French culinary arts, encourage training in cuisine, and assist professional development.”  Often featured in the world’s most prestigious periodicals, these are the chefs who helm the restaurants that receive the highest recognition from restaurant guides the world over.

This marks the seventh year that The Venetian Resort has collaborated with MCF on this annual foodie fête (even hosting the group’s 59th General Assembly, in 2014 – the first time that event ever took place on American soil), and this year’s Haute Cuisine features as its theme “Flavors of the World,” wherein guests will partake in a grand tour of gastronomy that will feature dishes from Europe, Asia, and Latin America, each paired with celebrated wines.  This exposition of epicureanism will be going down poolside, at The Aquatic Club, THIS FRIDAY, from 7pm until 9:30pm, with tickets priced at $85/person.  And for the first time, Haute Cuisine is featuring a VIP option, including early entry at 6:30pm, a Champagne toast, and a cookbook, for $175/person!

This year’s roster of participating Master Chefs of France includes:

  • Olivier Dubreuil — The Venetian Resort Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)
  • Jean Joho — Everest (Chicago, IL)
  • Jean Louis Dumonet — Heights Casino Club (New York, NY)
  • Herve Malivert — The International Culinary Center (New York, NY)
  • Bertrand Bouquin — Desert Mountain (Scottsdale, AZ)
  • Gerald Hirigoyen — Piperade (San Francisco, CA)
  • Olivier De Saint Martin — Caribou Café (Philadelphia, PA)
  • Jacques Sorci — Hakkasan Group (Las Vegas, NV)
  • David Werly — Aria Las Vegas (Las Vegas, NV)
  • Jean Pierre Dubray — The Resort at Pelican Hill (Newport Beach, CA)

Furthermore, Haute Cuisine will be featuring the tantalizing confections of The Venetian Resort’s executive pastry chef, Simon Bregardis, that are sure to slake even the sweetest of teeth.

As Fryman so succinctly sums-up the situation, “This is definitely Las Vegas’ culinary event of the year.”
