Let’s begin, as much of this did, in the Bay Area, where, on the 50th anniversary of The Summer of Love, San Francisco’s annual 420 Celebration on Hippie Hill will be the most authentic place to soak-in that dank 4/20 vibe.  Everyone is welcome to join the chill party in sunny Golden Gate Park, hang out, and even dance to a drum circle.  Odds are good that patchouli will be prevalent.  Peace and Love!

Cruising down the coast, the Coachella Valley isn’t only playing host to its eponymous music festival, because right down the road (well, 6 miles or so), Weedmaps and Talent Resources have teamed-up to bring you the Marijuana Oasis – a compound where invited VIPs can take it easy, with some of California’s finest.  Word on the street is that the Oasis will include a greenhouse, two grow houses, and a quintet of geodesic domes (each featuring a different A-grand brand of premium California kush).  Expect to see guests, ranging from Fortune 500 execs to action-sports jocks, partaking of all the accoutrements one might find at a posh day spa.

Eureka Vapor is presenting the HIGH TIMES US Cannabis Cup, SoCalin San Bernardino, at the National Orange Show, from April 21st – 23rd – in celebration of Cali’s legalization of recreational marijuana.  There are gonna be a ton of musical acts, including A$AP Ferg, Method Man & Redman, Damian “Jr. Gong” Marley, The Game, Nas, and the Wu-Tang Clan! With such amenities as a live grow-room, an edibles village, a topical massage spa, and a vape lounge, High Times is bringing you a live cannabis experience you’ll love trying to remember.

The Mile High City is putting on a free 420 Rally, with a concert headlined by that lover of big-booty hoes, everywhere, 2-Chainz.  (Yes, the 2-Chainz concert is free, too.)  Meanwhile, up in Portland, in the midst of the Soul’d Out Festival, Lupe Fiasco will be playing at Roseland, with Ryan Caraveo, Rasheed Jamal, and DJ Priime, at the first ever Cloud City Music and Cannabis Exhibit.  Other acts performing at the festival (that runs from April 19th – 23rd, at venues around the PDX) include Solange, Giorgio Moroder, Toots & the Maytals, the Ohio Players, and Big Freedia.

Over in our nation’s capital, on April 22nd, Wash Hydro and CYCO’s Platinum Series are presenting the second annual National Cannabis Festival, at the RFK Stadium Festival Grounds.  And while the folks behind the NCF are touting all of the experiences being offered (seriously… There’s gonna be an Advocacy Village, an Education Pavilion, The Munchie Zone, a Vendor Fair, and a number of Chill Zones); I’m pretty sure folks are gonna want to check-out the performance stage, where the likes of Talib Kweli and The Pharcyde will be shaking things up, while attendees get their respective grooves on.

And for our Canadian neighbors to the north, the friendly folks from Lift will be out, in force, at Toronto’s 4/20 celebration, at Dundas Square.  There, they’ll be handing-out 2,000 tokens for the TTC (that’s Toronto Transit Commission, in case you were wondering), encouraging revelers to use public transportation, in an effort to promote safe and responsible consumption.

Regardless of where you might be on 4/20 (and wherever you might wake-up on 4/21), just remember that virtually anything can be fun, in moderation.  And while you might be medicated, you should always try to make good decisions.
