Balla Italian Soul—the upscale Italian restaurant at SAHARA Las Vegas helmed by James Beard Award-winning chef Shawn McClain—has launched the Ciao Bella Bottomless Brunch, a new Saturday brunch on the Las Vegas Strip designed to provide a bit of an escape this summer.
Featuring chef-driven Italian cuisine, a lively cocktail program, and live entertainment—including a DJ and vocal interludes by local sensation Sophia Monica—the Ciao Bella Bottomless Brunch brings the carefree Italian spirit of summer, or spirito dell’estate, to SAHARA Las Vegas.
For $55 per person, guests can partake of a bottomless family-style Italian brunch featuring coastal-inspired starters, housemade pastas, elevated brunch classics, and indulgent desserts. Each table may order four starters and four signature entrées to share—and replenish them until everyone is so full they can no longer walk upright.
I’ve been twice now, and my favorite starters include the Whipped Ricotta with roasted peaches and hot honey; the Caesar Salad; and the Smoked Whitefish Dip with crackers. Then there are the Caviar Donuts, about which everyone seems to have an opinion, featuring osetra caviar served on warm brioche with lemon curd, crème fraîche, and chives.
As for the mains, I love the Ricotta Pancake, which is pretty much a small “Dutch Baby” served with blueberry compote, whipped mascarpone, lemon, and maple syrup; the Fusilli Carbonara topped with pancetta, pecorino, and black pepper; the Ham and Cheese Croissant Panini with warm Comté and garlic butter; and the Chicken Milanese topped with mozzarella, prosciutto, Alfredo sauce, and arugula.
Other options include the Prosciutto Omelette with stracciatella, cherry tomatoes, and basil; Calamari Shells with tomato, basil, and Calabrian chile; Margherita and Spicy Salami pizzas; and the Steak Frites with herb salsa verde, arugula, and fries.
Dessert comes via a roaming Dolce Cart stocked with tiramisu, cannoli, buttermilk panna cotta, Italian cookies, fantastic dark chocolate tarts, gelato, and more.
And because brunch without cocktails is really just a late breakfast, guests can also opt for bottomless spritzes and mimosas, including the Coup de Soleil (with vodka, blood-orange liqueur, and fresh blood-orange juice); the Prickle Me Pink (with tequila, prickly pear, and elderflower); and both classic and spicy takes on the Bloody Mary.
There’s also an Affogato Martini Flight featuring three miniature martinis: Tiramisu, paired with Nutella gelato; Pistachio, paired with pistachio gelato; and Espresso, paired with vanilla gelato.
All told, this brunch is incantevole! *
