One bandwagon upon which Las Vegas’ hospitality juggernauts hopped well before many other tranches of the industry was that of transforming all aspects of their guests’ stays into experiences.  And when it comes to providing the experiential, Wynn Las Vegas’ light shines particularly bright (in their uniquely flattering, soft pink, diffused way), making every visit an “experience” worthy of sharing, regardless of whether that’s to friends over dinner, to your followers on the ‘Grams, or to an unwilling audience through a spontaneous display of interpretive dance.  Myself, I’ve been a fan of the Wynn Master Class Series since I took part in “Wonton Love: A Dim Sum Master Class” with Wynn’s Executive Dim Sum Chef, Sandy Shi, nearly five years ago.

Paused due to the pandemic (along with everything else involving a modicum of interaction), the Wynn Master Class Series is back with its Spring 2021 edition of seven one-time-only classes in an array of subjects.

Does a vodka tonic press the limits of your bartending prowess?  Take a deep dive into those potent potables with resident mixologist Mariena Mercer Boarini, the self-proclaimed WanderLush, herself.

Looking for more of a hands-to-yourself mode, but delighted to have things of interest pointed out to you?  Then perhaps a behind-the-scenes tour is more your speed.  This season there are two that might tickle your fancy; one backstage at the super high-tech Lake of Dreams show, with production manager, Matt Scherbring; while those interested in knowing whether that fine foliage o’er yonder is a fig or a ficus, might be more inclined to tour the property with head horticulturalist, Freddy Cardon. * The latter is the perfect occasion to dazzle fellow Class-mates with your erudition, by off-handedly recalling Dorothy Parker’s famously bawdy pun about gardening. **

There is also a cooking demonstration for those not afraid to don an apron and get hands-y with their food, as Tableau’s Chef Robert Bruce will be sharing the finer points of preparing a great brunch, before plating the fruits of his labors for your enjoyment.

The courses in the Spring 2021 edition of the Wynn Master Class Series—listed below, for your convenience—range in price from $125 to $175 per person (before taxes and gratuity, where applicable); and, in adherence with Nevada and Wynn COVID-19 safety protocols, spaces are limited and require reservations made through Wynn’s Concierge by phoning (702) 770-7070 or emailing ConciergeServices@WynnLasVegas.com.

The Spring 2021 edition of the Wynn Master Class Series comprises the following:
