The buzz this year on the floor of the annual Couture show at Wynn Las Vegas was how the biggest names in jewelry design would address the flux in the marketplace due to the topsy-turvy economy. Equally as critical a question to answer: With the skyrocketing prices on precious stones and metals, how would these designers meet the needs of an ever-evolving market without cheapening the brans they'd worked so hard to build?
