In 1974, Diana Ross recorded Live at Caesars Palace.
Five years later, she returned to the Strip’s most famous showroom (the Circus Maximus at Caesars Palace) when Diana Ross in Concert! was filmed for HBO.
Now, after three decades, the blues-singing lady is back and better than ever, lighting-up the stage at the Colosseum at Caesars Palace.

Over the past half-century Diana Ross has released 67 albums, resulting in sales of more than 100 million records, and 18 #1 hits (19, if you count her lead role on “We Are the World”). She’s been honored by the Kennedy Center, and has won a Tony (for her 1977 one-woman show An Evening with Diana Ross), and eight American Music Awards. Furthermore, her bravura performance as Billie Holiday in 1973’s Lady Sings the Blues earned her an Academy Award nomination for Best Actress in a Leading Role, and a Golden Globe nomination for Best Motion Picture Actress – Drama; and won her the Golden Globe for Most Promising Newcomer – Female.

She’s brassy, she’s sassy, and she’s gone to second-base with Lil’ Kim, on-stage at the VMAs; but when all is said and done, she’s a performer of the highest magnitude, and she knows how to put-on a show. To put it another way, even in a city of dazzling talent and glimmering lights, Diana Ross’ star shines bright.
And while she might sing about nobody getting the prize, I daresay that anyone who’s seen her perform live would beg to differ.
