Lady Gaga at Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort (17 Dec 09) Tonight was the first of Lady Gaga's two sold-out shows at Pearl Concert Theater at Palms Casino Resort, and it was truly a happening. Gaga drew her cues visually, choreographically, and aurally from the likes of such greats as Bob Fosse (Chicago, Liza with a "Z"), Michael Jackson (Gaga's trademark monster-claw is straight out of the zombie-dance from "Thriller"), and Madonna (well, everything… If you put her in a Jean Paul Gaultier suit, bullet-bra and monocle, she'd be expressing herself on the set of the Blonde Ambition Tour, circa 1990). This is not to say that Lady Gaga is anything less than a phenomenal performer who had the audience dancing, singing, clapping, shouting, waving, and shrieking at her command. As a matter of fact, it was arguably the best concert Vegas has seen in quite some time. "Love me!" she commanded – and we did.
