You’ve gotta hand it to Lady Gaga: Teaming-up with the World Health Organization (WHO) and Global Citizen to raise awareness for the WHO’s COVID-19 Solidarity Response Fund by celebrating the health-care workers and first responders on the front lines of the coronavirus pandemic, through a virtual concert.

What’s really impressive is that thanks to Lady Gaga working with both the WHO and Global Citizen, donations have been solicited from a number of international corporations—Analog Devices, Cisco Systems, Citigroup, the Coca-Cola Company, GlaxoSmithKline, IBM, Johnson & Johnson, Proctor & Gamble, PepsiCo, State Farm, the Target Corporation, Teneo, Verizon Wireless, Vodafone Group, and Weight Watchers International—with more than $35 million raised for the fund.

Think of it like a fundraiser, where the funds have already been raised; so, you aren’t being asked to do anything, except watch and enjoy!

There will be two parts to the event—featuring stories, both heartwarming and inspirations, from the frontlines of the COVID-19 Response—and while the headline is the two-hour linear broadcast, curated by Lady Gaga and hosted by late-night's troika of Jimmy Fallon, Jimmy Kimmel, and Stephen Colbert (8-10pm EST), which would, in and of itself, be beyond major; when you add in the global multi-hour digital live-stream (2-8pm EST), it becomes a truly epic happening, with more going on that one of Bill Hader and John Mulaney’s “Stefon” sketches on SNL!

Frankly, what’s not to love about an evening that combines the legends (Stevie Wonder, Elton John, and Paul McCartney, The Rolling Stones); the powerhouses (Eddie Vedder, Jennifer Lopez, John Legend, and Taylor Swift); and the classical artists (Lang Lang and Andrea Bocelli); with today’s chart-toppers (Billie Eilish, Lizzo, Sam Smith, and Shawn Mendes); and everyone’s favorite mono-monikered icon, to boot (hey, Oprah!).
