Whether you're consciously aware of it or not, since breaking onto the music scene in 2009, electro-dream pop duo, Phantogram, has become rather aurally ubiquitous, on the soundtrack of our lives.

The charming twosome has collaborated with such respected (albeit incredibly disparate) acts and producers as the Flaming Lips, Miley Cyrus, OutKast’s Big Boi, A-Trak, and Skrillex; and been sampled by Kanye West and A$AP Rocky. And, as if that wasn’t enough to establish their bona fides, their songs have been featured on such popular television series as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (CBS), Teen Wolf and Skins (MTV), Suits (USA), The Magicians (SYFY), and Shameless (Showtime); not to mention major motion pictures, including Pitch Perfect, The Edge of Seventeen, Out of the Furnace, and The Hunger Games: Catching Fire; and leading video games like Grand Theft Auto V (Rockstar), FIFA 17 (EA Sports), and MLB The Show 16 (Sony); as well as commercials for Canon’s 650D camera, and Gillette’s Fusion ProGlide razor.

Not too shabby for a pair about to enter their thirties, who met in junior high, reconnected after college, and record in an isolated barn, in Upstate New York, that they’ve dubbed Harmony Lodge.

And while vocalist/guitarist Josh Carter, and vocalist/keyboardist Sarah Barthel took their name from the optical illusion wherein two-dimensional objects appear to be in 3D, there’s no doubt that their music – described by Carter as featuring “lots of rhythms, swirling guitars, spacey keyboards, echoes, and airy vocals” – is decidedly three-dimensional; as you might have heard for yourselves, either on one of their many appearances on late night television (think: Fallon, Kimmel, and Colbert), or in person, at any number of music festivals (Austin City Limits, Sasquatch!, Bumbershoot, Lallapalooza, Bonnaroo, SXSW, and Coachella).

Now, the dynamic duo – who draw inspiration from the music of The Beatles, David Bowie, Cocteau Twins, Serge Gainsbourg, Sonic Youth, and Prince – are coming to Vegas, for a concert at Brooklyn Bowl, on Wednesday, April 19th (in between appearances at Coachella). And under normal circumstances, that’d be the story. But, not today…

Phantogram has teamed with Jose Cuervo, and are inviting you to join them for a fun night of drinks and music (because tomorrow is overrated), at their after-party, at Commonwealth, in the Fremont East District of fabulous Downtown Las Vegas. Oh, and Carter and Barthel will be DJing the gig, to boot! Apparently, Josh and Sarah can’t, won’t, and don’t stop, for anything (except a shot of tequila, and to shoot this promo video, which they apparently did while in Waikiki…).

Considering there’s gonna be an open bar (featuring a trio of Cuervo-inspired libations), it would seem that Phantogram wants to do everything possible to ensure you get both your sip and your groove on. As my sister-in-law from Mississippi would say, “Bless their hearts.”
