The freshly revealed Terrace Lounge is where you’ll wanna go, to indulge in the newest experiential offering from Wynn Las Vegas…  Afternoon Tea, held daily from noon until four.

Afternoon Tea has been experienced in drawing rooms and grand hotels ever since the mid-1840s, when Anna Russell, Duchess of Bedford (aka Queen Victoria’s bestie) came up with the idea for the afternoon repast, while visiting her pal, John Henry Manners, 5th Duke of Rutland, at his Belvoir Castle, in Leicestershire.

Now, you can enjoy the Wynn’s take on this culinary institution by luxuriating over a selection of fine loose leaf teas, including unique varietals of black, herbal, green, white, and blooming teas; as well as such tasty victuals as assorted scones with seasonal jams, marmalades (dontcha just love a nice marmalade?), and Devonshire cream.

There are savory tea sandwiches including curried chicken salad with red grapes, smoked salmon salad with cucumber and scallions, and strawberry jam with brie, fennel, and balsamic reduction.  And that’s before you get to the selection of patisseries, such as fruit tarts, chocolate eclairs, hazelnut religieuses, and macarons (mmmm…).

And, since the Terrace Lounge is open until 10pm, you could tuck into the cocktail menu, and really make an evening out of it, thanks to a selection of hand-crafted tea-infused cocktails (also available à la carte).  Ask your server to elucidate you about the Jasmine Leaf, the Tea-jito, and the Peachy Cosmo, to really pack your Afternoon Tea with some extra pizzazz.

Of course, too much and you might not remember the finer points; but since you can partake of Afternoon Tea, daily; carry on, I say!
