As the ninth year of Las Vegas Restaurant Week draws to a close, the citywide program – raising money for Three Square Food Bank – sees results that prove substantial participation by local participants.  Thus far, since its inception in 2007, Restaurant Week has provided more than 2.5 million meals for those in need, in efforts to feed the more than 315,000 food-insecure residents of Southern Nevada.

As a result of the 2,678 diners who participated in Restaurant Week at one of the four restaurants under umbrella of the Blau/Canteenwalla Group (overseen by Elizabeth Blau and Chef Kim Canteenwalla) – Buddy V’s Ristorante in the Grand Canal Shoppes at Venetian|Palazzo, Honey Salt across from Boca Park, Made L.V. at Tivoli Village, and Andiron Steak & Sea at Downtown Summerlin – $10,712 was raised for Three Square Food Bank.  This translated to 32,136 meals that will be provided to those in need of food, around Southern Nevada.

I suppose I could say something pithy, here; but I think the numbers speak for themselves.  So, bravo to all involved!  Jobs very well done.
