OMNIA Nightclub at Caesars Palace is a lot to take in.  It’s not so much a nightclub, as it is a spectacularly-designed multimedia extravaganza, complete with the finest appointments, super high-tech everything, and a 3-story spaceship that descends and rotates and, well, needs to be seen to be believed.

And as much as one might think “Is all of this going on to distract patrons from paying  attention to the proverbial man behind the curtain?” I can assure you that the entrée at OMNIA is and shall always be the top-shelf talent behind the ones-and-twos (and in some cases the threes-and-fours).

And one need look no further than the line-up they’ve got planned for y’all over Labor Day Weekend, to know I’m not just carrying-on.  The weekend gets started on Friday night, with Grammy-winning Calvin Harris, the man who tops Forbes’ EDM List (for the second year in a row).  And while I think it’s rather absurd that such a list exists, it’s no fluke that Harris holds the number one spot.  You just can’t argue with quality.  And not for nothing, but anyone who’s seen him as the new face and body of Emporio Armani can attest, he’s got abs upon which you could wash your laundry, down by the river!  Also on Friday night, globetrotting celebrity fave, DJ Irie will be holding court in the posh club-within-a-club, Heart of OMNIA.

26 year-old Dutch DJ/producer, Nicky Romero takes the helm and the booth, on Saturday night; and it becomes pretty obvious in a matter of minutes, why this affable young man is currently ranked 8th on DJ Magazine’s annual “Top 100 DJs” poll.  Meanwhile, over at Heart of OMNIA, nightlife impresario turned turntablist, Fred Matters will be serving the soundtrack of the evening.

But the secret sauce in OMNIA’s LDW15 Big Mac is sure to be Sunday night’s IMAGINE party.  Conceived by the marketing wizards at OMNIA, IMAGINE is a weekly party that occurs every Sunday night during the summer months, and features a rotating series of themes.  And not just a couple of staffers in costume; but entire thematic décor takeovers for the whole club, that coordinate with themes of Roaring ‘20s, Masquerade (think: Eyes Wide Shut meets Burlesque), Sweet Dreams (a Candyland-inspired treat), and Hidden Forest.

For LDW15 the theme is Roaring ‘20s, and revelers will be grooving to the now-sounds of Dutch trance DJ and producer, Armin van Buuren – perhaps one of the world’s most acclaimed DJs.  He’s been ranked 1st on DJ Magazine’s annual “Top 100 DJs” poll five times (four of those, consecutively), and is currently ranked 3rd.  He holds the US record for the most songs to make Billboard’s “Dance/Electronic Albums” chart (21 of them); and has even been nominated for a Grammy for “Best Dance Recording” (for 2014’s “This Is What It Feels Like” featuring Trevor Guthrie).

And as a special bonus, all ladies (and gentlemen who are so inclined) are given a feather boa, upon crossing the club’s portal; so as to fully be saturated in the Roaring ‘20s theme.  And while there won’t be any bathtub gin, OMNIA’s got pretty much every top-shelf brand you could desire.

So dance ‘til you can’t dance no more, as OMNIA’s spaceship transports all of your cares away, this Labor Day Weekend!
