Hakka-san, Hakka-san, Hakka-san
Hakkasan, Let me rock you
Let me rock you, Hakkasan
(You get the point...)

Why?  Well, it so happens that Chaka Khan is HUGE in Holland; and for whatever reason, the Dutch have taken over the day- and nightlife venues of the MGM Grand (with the notable exceptions of Rita Ora’s Scottish man-candy, and the heir to the Benihana fortune), this Memorial Day Weekend.  I mean, the only place in Vegas with more vans is the Valley Auto Mall!

Take a gander at Hakkasan’s MDW14 line-up:

Thursday, May 22 – Afrojack The ginormous Dutchman (born Nick van de Wall) measures 6’9” tall; and at 26 years of age, ranked #7 on Forbes’ list of the highest earning DJs of 2013.

Friday, May 23 – Hardwell Last year, the 25-year old Dutch DJ known as Hardwell (née Robbert van de Corput) became the youngest to ever top DJ Magazine’s annual “Top 100” list.

Saturday, May 24 – Tiësto What can be said, about the 45-year old Tiësto (née Tijs Michiel Verwest), that hasn’t already been said (most likely by the man, himself)?

Sunday, May 25 – Calvin Harris That tall Scotsman seen on the arm of the gorgeous Rita Ora, is best-known as DJ/Producer Calvin Harris (née Adam Richard Wiles), who topped Forbes’ list of the highest-earning DJs of 2013, making a reported $46 million.  That’s a lotta cheddar!

Monday, May 26 – Martin Garrix Born in Amsterdam, a year after I graduated from college, Marrtin Garrix (nee Martijn Garritsen), who just turned 18 this past week) is the newest EDM wunderkind, and is cute as the proverbial button.

And not surprisingly, you’ll notice a very similar line-up, at Wet Republic Ultra Pool…  Steve Aoki with Nervo (Friday), Tiësto (Saturday), Afrojack with APSTER (Sunday), and Calvin Harris with R3HAB (Monday).
