Tourbillon, for those of you who are unfamiliar, is a chain of decidedly upscale multi-brand watch boutiques. Not coincidentally, all of the prestige brands carried by Tourbillon are part of the Swatch Group’s Haute Horlogerie collection. Who knew that Breguet, Blancpain, Glashütte Original, Jaquet Droz, and Omega were all owned by Swatch? Well, besides me, anyhow…

Wednesday evening, November 13th,Tourbillon, having moved into a larger, more heavily-trafficked location, in The Shops at Crystals, is having a grand re-opening celebration, complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony featuring Heather & Jim Murren (Chairman/CEO, MGM Resorts International) joining Frank Furlan (President, Swatch Group USA).

I’ll be there, at the new 3,800 square foot space (the world’s largest Tourbillon) serving a soigné selection of stylish sounds; while handsome French magician, Stefan Leyshon (Founder/Artistic Director, Centre International de Formation aux Arts Magiques – and Magic Ambassador, Louis Vuitton) entertains and amazes with his close-up magic.

And as if you needed a reason to come peruse a shop full of timepieces that one might find in magazines with their prices listed as “Upon Request” – a portion of the evening’s proceeds will be donated to the One Drop Organization, founded by Guy Laliberté (co-Founder/CEO, Cirque du Soleil).
