For those of you in the Sunshine State, for the brouhaha that is Art Basel Miami Beach, allow me to address your entertainment and recreation needs. Fortunately for me (and you) it’s all about the Gale South Beach & Regent Hotel, and the fantabulous LDV Hospitality-operated venues it contains; because between now and Tuesday, every sparking bit of glamour can be had at Rec Room, The Rooftop, The Regent Cocktail Club, and Dolce Italian.

Get up and boogie, this Friday and Saturday, when PAPER Magazine throws their fierce Tiki Disco party, on the Gale’s 4^th Floor Rooftop, from 7pm – midnight.

Meanwhile, the Regent Cocktail Club is hosting a cocktail party for AHA Life, on Friday, from 7pm – 9pm; then on Saturday, RCC goes Hollywood, when James Franco and his protégée, the breathtaking Nana Ghana (aka visual artist Nana Agyapong) celebrate the latter’s first documentary, LA Woman Rising.

Late night, it’s all about Rec Room – becoming Chez Andre on Friday; and on Saturday, a pop-up Bungalow 8, hosted by Bobby Rossi and the inimitable Queen of the Night, herself, Miss Amy Sacco.

There are brunches and dinners a plenty, at Dolce Italian, with The Supperclub, on Friday; Liberatum, on Saturday; and AHA Life on Sunday. And speaking of Sunday, the Marley Family and celebrity Chef Roble will be turning it out, on the Gale Rooftop, with the Everyday People BBQ. Later, you can close out the weekend, at The Rec Room, once again, with Marc Siegler.    

For you die-hards, who just can’t get enough, head back to the Gale Rooftop, where the friendly folks from Hendricks Gin are hosting a rousing game of shuffleboard.

And if playing shuffleboard while sipping a refreshing G&T doesn’t pique your fancy, what the hell are you doing in Miami Beach, anyhow?
