Every once in a while, I like to tool around the web, checking-out different travel sites and publications, to see how their opinions jibe with mine; and if there’s anything new and exciting, that might be of interest to my readers.

Well, you could’ve knocked me over with a feather, when I stumbled across the “After Dark Planner” for Las Vegas, published by Fodor’s – and found that they were singing my praises!

With more than 700 permanently-embedded researchers around the globe, and having published more than 440 guides on over 300 destinations, Fodor’s (a division of Random House) is the world’s biggest English-language travel and tourism publisher.  Furthermore, I grew-up with a father who would get a Fodor’s Guide to whichever city we were visiting (and we travelled a lot).  Lots of fathers and sons spent time at the batting cages: We spent time in bookstores.

So, I would just like to thank the editors of Fodors.com, who decided that of all the publications dedicated to letting people “find out what’s going on” in Las Vegas (either in print or online, and whether published daily, weekly, monthly, or otherwise), that none “imparts the flavor… [of Sin City] better than ShulmanSays.com, a website published by Michael Shulman” (a sentiment with which I wholeheartedly agree, by the way).

Thanks, Fodor’s – and please continue to publish the insightful, prescient, and well-thought guides that you have, since 1936.  As far as I’m concerned, you’re doing the Lord’s work!
